Congratulations on an outstanding season and welcome to the 2012 Myrtle Beach, SC
Global Sports World Series. Your World Series host will do everything possible to
create an experience that the players, coaches, and families will remember for a life time!
An Experience of A Lifetime
a berth in a Global World Series Qualifier.
Global Sports World Series will now include 7 and 8 year old age groups.
7 and 8 year old Global World Series are open to all teams as long as the team
is registered with USSSA and Global Sports and also participates in their USSSA State Tournament.
Teams must be registered with USSSA and registered with Global Sports to
participate in Global Sports World Series Qualifiers. Team may register at
www.usssa.com. Global Sports registration is $15 per year and can be registered
at the same time as USSSA Baseball. Please check with your USSSA State Director
for qualifiers in your area.
How to Enter a Global Sports World Series
Teams earning a berth at a Global Sports Qualifier may participate in any state's
Global World Series. Teams must enter the Global Sports World Series at
www.usssa.com on a first come, first served basis. Teams that qualify will not
be assured a spot at a specific World Series location. Qualified teams may enter
multiple Global Sports World Series.

and expedite your entry.. This is a requirement for all ages to be placed into the
World Series event...Only the first 24 entries in each age group will be honored.

Elite World Series participating teams are ineligible to play
Ages 7 - 14
Limited to 24 teams per age group
Pool play followed by championship play.
Teams will play an average of 7 games
Champions of the 3 divisions will be crowned World Series Champion
Teams earn World Series USSSA Points
POOL PLAY
All teams will play 4 games within pool play. After pool play is complete, teams will be seeded 1 - 24 and placed into a championship bracket. Seeding for championship play is based on USSSA pool play / tie breaker criteria.
Pool seeding is based on: 1) USSSA Classification, 2) USSSA Points, 3) Geographical location.
The tournament director has the final decision on seeding teams into pool play.
Teams will play four (4) pool games. The top two teams from each pool will advance to
the Red Championship bracket while the middle two teams advance to the White
Championship bracket and the bottom two teams to the Blue Championship bracket.

Click Here. USSSA Rosters will be the official roster at the GS World Series.
USSSA Baseball reserves the right to alter, change, or abbreviate the tournament
format when necessary to complete the tournament due to weather.
USSSA Rosters will be the official roster at the Global Sports World Series.
Teams may add two (2) additional players to the official roster at team check-in.
- Write-In players shall not be entered in the USSSA online roster system but rather "hand written" on the printable version of the teams' Official Online Roster form.
- Write-in players are permitted to be frozen to any other classification team and be eligible.
Teams participating in the Elite World Series are NOT eligible for the
Global Sports Baseball World Series.

Policies/Miscelaneous Rules
Cooler Policy- Only one Team Cooler allowed per team. For information on outside
Food and Drink please consult the Parks and Recreation Department you are playing
at...Different Parks have different Policies concerning this issue and are enforced by them.
Roster Policy- besides the Write-In players...Please make sure you complete roster is
online prior to Monday before schedules are posted...Pitching Reports/Scores will be
kept and Pitching Violations will be enforced.
Team Check In- Items you will be required to have will be a complete copy of your roster and
birth certificates of each player...These items will also need to be on hand with your team at
all times during play.

pins are not mandatory, but certainly adds to the fun of this special event. We encourage
each team to bring some small item to trade. Other examples other than team pins include..........contacting your local Chamber of Commerce for State/City pins.........
contacting any Professional Sports Team in your area for small promotional items, etc.
SKILLS COMPETITION DETAILS: The overall objective of the skills competition is to have every player on each team participate and enjoy the social interaction of this tremendous event. No player may enter more than one event. Awards will be presented to the champion and runner-up in each age division in each skills competition.
Round The Horn- (5 Players)
Five (5) players from each team will be allowed to participate. The players will take their positions in the infield (1B, 2B, 3B, SS, C). The catcher will start the event. The catcher will throw to third baseman, third-baseman throws to second baseman, second-baseman throws to shortstop, shortstop throws to first-baseman and first-baseman throws to catcher. The time will start when the catcher throws and time will stop when the catcher receives the throw from the first-baseman. ANY DROPPED BALLS OR BAD THROWS ARE CONSIDERED LIVE AND TIME WILL KEEP RUNNING!
Accuracy Throw - (3 Players)
Three (3) players on each team can participate. Each player will get three (3) throws to hit the target. Players must throw behind the marked position on the field. Players will be awarded 1pt for bouncing the ball into the target and 5 pts for hitting the target on the fly.
Base Running - (4 Players)
Four (4) players from each team will be allowed to participate. Each player will start inside the batters box and run the bases. Time will start on first step and end when touching home plate. Any additional player who has not participated in any event can participate.
