Team Classification is used for allowing teams to have equality in playing
abilites in the Fastpitch USSSA program. As long as Team Numbers and space
will allow, Gameday USSSA will do their best to put all teams in their correct
age Class.

Girls' Fastpitch Class “A” - The highest level of competition in USSSA Fastpitch.  This is for
teams that play travel Fastpitch Softball on a regular basis and can hold their own with any team
in the state. These teams can compete on national and state levels on a regular basis.


Girls' Fastpitch Class “B” -  This classification should be used for Teams that are newly formed
within their age groupThese lack the experience and number of skilled players and pitchers to
compete on a National or State levels with the higher skilled Class “A” teams.

Girls' Fastpitch Class “C” - Teams that usually play in one or two tournaments in a year and
play local tournaments. These teams are developmental in that the learning process is still there.


“OPEN Tournaments”- This is where due to field space or Team Numbers, teams in mainly
A, and B
classes play together in tournaments.
