USSSA Fastpitch Softball Rules
South Carolina Fastpitch Rules:
-In 14U all pitching distances will be 43 feet from the pitching rubber to home plate.
-All teams need to be ready to play 30 minutes prior to scheduled game time.
-Home team will be determined by a coin toss prior to each game at home plate during the
pre-game conference.
-Official game start time will be determined by the Home Plate Umpire and will be
communicated to both coaches at the pre-game conference.
-All games will adhere to the tournament time limit.
-In case of rain or other weather which could interfere with tournament play, the schedule
is subject to modification by the Tournament Committee to insure the completion of the
tournament. It shall be the coaches’ responsibility to access the tournament website and
keep in touch with the Tournament Committee in the event of scheduling disruptions.
-Please refer to the Code of Conduct for behavior rules.
-Protests: Judgment calls may not be protested. Only rules and infractions may be protested.
All protests will be settled by a protest committee consisting of up to 3 representatives from the
Tournament Committee. A protest fee of $100.00 cash will be required at the time the protest is
filed. If the protest is upheld, the protest fee will be returned. If the protest is denied, the fee
shall be forfeited. All decisions of the protest committee are final.
